Tungsten e-invoice Network has supported the Carta Porte in Mexico since January 2022.

All Mexican taxpayers that transport goods and merchandise in Mexican territory via sea, air, rail or federal highways must include the ‘Carta Porte’ in the CFDI, the legal artefact in Mexico. The Mexican government strives to combat tax fraud and improve traceability of goods in Mexican territory with this measure.

In June 2024, the Mexican Tax Authority published an update to the technical specifications for a new version of the Carta Porte, Version 3.1.

Carta Porte Version 3.1 will come into effect on 17 July 2024.

Tungsten Automation is analysing the changes concerning the updated Carta Porte format and will adopt any required system modifications to accommodate the new version.
