Oman set up timelines for e-invoicing implementation

A lot of discussion about e-invoicing has taken place in Oman this year, and a timeline for implementation has been announced recently.

This e-invoicing mandate will begin as a voluntary initiative in April 2024 and become mandatory for large entities operating in the country from October 2024.

Technical details of the mandate have not yet been disclosed. However, there is a strong possibility that Oman will adopt a pre-clearance model, as Saudi Arabia has done.
